two hands, all ears

Glad to join you and learn from you!

I'm a handy girl, I'd like to think (got a handy dad that taught me all I know). I recently bought my first house, a tired 86-yr-old Dutch Colonial Revival that the neighborhood long gave up on. My dad gave the house a good year of his hard work and attention then slowed way down with health problems. So, I left the big city and am camping out in my house, making the renovation work my new full-time job. So far, I'm six months in...kitchen's done, half-bath is done, and the full bath is almost done. Sanding base moulding then the floors will soon follow.

I'm hoping to glean a little (or, more likely, a lot) of wisdom from your boards and go from camping in my house to actually living in it!

Thanks for the welcome! I posted two albums -- the first day I saw the house and the full bath renovation -- just click my profile to see.
