Trying to do it myself

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and on and on,

Bought a house in 2002 and am trying to fix stuff the previous owner either did himself or didn't bother to fix that the builder goofed on. Geez, who installs a light switch that is not connected to any of the outlets in the room!!!!!

Oh bother! Hoping to find answers here.

Steph

you either have a ceiling box drywalled over or a tab on a receptacle not broken
