I've lived in the house 16 years, have completely rewired and replumbed the whole thing. Ripped out the kitchen when we moved in, so it's ready for round 2 . Current project is a new upstairs bathroom.

House: 2-story traditional, 2000+ square feet, 4 bed, 2 bath, unfinishable basement.

Built: Don't know, it was standing in 1857

Construction: Brick. 2x10 joists upstairs (actually 2" by actually 10"), crap on the bottom floor (whatever they had handy, a future project).
