Smashed finger anyone?

Hi,
We bought a nice colonial built in the 70's, and are currently in process of ripping out paneling (paneling was cool at one point in time? huh?)
Anyhoo, I am a ER nurse and if anyone has any medical issues I could offer some advice, but on the home improvement front, I am ready to jump in, learn and hopefully do it myself!

Hi Ltoolio

Welcome to DIY Chatroom

Don't get many smashed fingers but plenty of slivers.

It is drywall (the original wall, unfinished) with ALOT of glue streaks everywhere. So we are going to re-drywall, we started last night actually.

Sometimes people put up paneling to cover up flaws.
Why they would put up paneling over drywall is odd but it happens.
Seems it would have been easier for the previous owners to just finish the drywall and forget putting up the paneling.

Oh it was a pretty popular look
As paneling is really intended to go over drywall, they actually almost did it right...some primer on the drywall would've been nice lol

Welcome Ltoolio
As my Manly First Aid Kit only has tourniquets and giant gauze pads for sucking chest wounds, you'd think was was because I don't bother with any other wounds

Truth is, they are the only things I haven't used up yet
