"Sears Homes" is my middle name...

Hello from Southeastern Virginia!

I'm here because I love, love, love old houses. The early 1900s is my favorite time in American architecture, and I've spent my entire adult life playing with old houses. I've been a Realtor, investor, property manager, old-house-restorer and now I'm a writer.

In 1999, I started researching Sears kit homes, and as of now, I've written eight books, seven of which are on old houses. Back in the day, I traveled extensively and did a lot of book talks and I'd often tell people, "When I was born, the doctor handed me back to my mother and said, 'Mrs. Fuller, it's a seven-pound Sears House historian.'"

This really does feel like the work I was born to do, and it has brought me a great deal of pleasure and joy (and a few bucks, too).

I live in Norfolk, Virginia with a crazy dog and a cute husband. I still spend way, way too much time researching and writing about kit homes.
