Obsessed DIY'er girl
Hello all
I've read around on this forum with a few recent projects I've had, and finally decided to join up.
About me - 33 yo handy girl, just bought a house in upstate NY. (house #3). I'm pretty good with tools - I was always looking over my dad's shoulder as a kid, and as soon as I got my first house, the home improvement fever began. I've done extensive remodeling to all 3 homes - Tile, bamboo floor, lots of electrical, a little plumbing, drywall & plaster, and framing/deck/shed building as well.
I just recently finished a bathroom remodel (well, 90% complete) which included tearing out everything down to the floor beams and wall studs, and then built a tile shower. Definitely my biggest project to date, done almost entirely (and stupidly!) by myself, but happy to say I just took a shower in it two nights ago.
I'm no contractor, nor would I ever claim to be - I have tons and tons to learn. I want to learn as much as I can from all the experience here, as well as share some of my own mishaps and experience to people such as myself.

I love upstate ny. I have a friend up that way with a few acres and thats my destination for rest, relaxation and some fresh air after a few weeks of work.
