Nooby from Virginia Beach

Hello all! Happened on the site when searching for some electrical info, and there seems to be a lot of information across all disciplines for DIY'ers and a a lot of really nice and informed people willing to help. I'm an avid DIY'er with not a wealth of true DIY experience. In other words, I can figure out how to get some things done, figuring out how to or if I've done the absolute correct way is my biggest challenge, and that's why I'm here. I'm a network engineer by trade, but DIY projects helps keep me sane, in a otherwise insane world.

Welcome !!!!

I was married in Virginia Beach (by an Indian Justice of the Peace in my home) an lived there before buying in Chesapeake (Riverwalk area) and then back to VB for a few months before going on to colder climates.

It is a good area where you see some changing seasons and people from everywhere, especially the retirees from NJ/NY that sold a 12 sf rambler to downsize and end up with a 4 BR/3 bath to avoid the gains and can easily get to see friends in FL. The humidity, especially away from the water is tough and you cannot shovel to get rid of it.

Best of luck in the area and avoid the Great Steak or any restaurant just after a fleet comes in. - We lived in the flight path fr Oceana, so the planes from the carriers came in for a few days before the carrier actually landed.

You obviously found out there is no home football team and being a Steeler fan can fit in well.
