Newbie to the site. checkin in w/ the OG's

hey guys. it's funny my father is an engineer, my grandfather was a machinist, and i'm... well a marriage and family therapist. It wasn't until I bought my first fixer-upper house 18 months ago that I have been able to tap into that mechanical gene. Since then I have been scouring youtube, forums and do it yourself books to figure out how to do things myself. Since then, done some significant electrical, sprinklers, landscaping and a lot of wood working. My dad said "it's about time." lol. anyway, i finally made it to diy forums and wanted to say hello. I'll be here more often going forward. Always appreciate some good advice. and CANT WAIT to get my detached garage turned into an awesome workshop. If you have an awesome pic of your workshop, post it.. im doing some recon to figure out what I want to do.

J.

Welcome! I'm of the opinion that mechanics are easy, and psychology is hard. There is an easily diagnosable reason why your brakes are squeeling or your driveway is cracking, not so much with marital problems.
