New to the site... and to DIY

Hi, everyone. Just found this site because of your Android app a couple of days ago, and it has already been both entertaining and helpful. Looking forward to being a member here.

I'm a 31 year old computer geek who never thought of himself as a handy sort. My dad and grandfather were always the DIY sort, though, and I spent plenty of time helping when I was younger. Since marrying into my wife's family (none of whom had been particularly involved with home repairs - that had always been her late grandfather's bailiwick), I've done a lot more repairs and improvements.

To my surprise, not only do I remember a lot of my dad's lessons, I actually ENJOY this stuff now!

At this point, my wife and I are still renting, so my number of projects is low, but I'm looking forward to many in the future when we buy a house (hopefully soon).
