Hi everyone! I am Jen. I just joined the site because we just bought our first home! It was built in 1880. We knew it needed a lot of work, but it was a lot worse that we originally thought so half the house had to be gutted and the rest will be done later. Our bedrooms and the main rooms are almost 75% back together so we are living here while remodeling.

I am not familiar with construction at all! That is one of the reasons I thought I do some research. My partner Dan works in construction and hangs drywall. So that part of the remodeling went well, but we are still learning everything else. We are lucky to have friends and family who have experience in other areas (such as bathroom tiling) that can help.
