Greetings, all. I've been learning a lot from this Web site, so I finally signed up. I'm from N.O., left in 1989, and just returned last April as a homeowner. Bought an older house in the neighborhood in grew up in, but the seller had hired an unscrupluous contractor to make repairs, so I ended up with more troubles than I'd ever expected. (Example: A new roof was put on but with no ventilation or furnace vent. Hmmm.)

It's also difficult to get good advice, maybe in part because some people see a single female as an opportunity....

It's good to be home, in spite of all the work we still have to do here in New Orleans. I look forward to sharing advice and experiences!
