New member with lots of DIY to learn

Hello, I'm Lindsey and I'm very glad to have found this forum. My boyfriend and I (and our 5 kids) purchased our first home this past October. It was an as is estate sale and while overall, the house seems to be solid, there's so much updating that needs to be done. We're still trying to make lists and figure out all the quirks about our place. Overall, we love it and don't ever question our decision. We got it for a steal, along with 2.5 acres.
Anyways, I'll be spending a good amount of time here reading and learning. I grew up on farm and helped my dad build and fix tons of things so I have to channel all of that learning from my childhood. My dad does all of the remodeling/home repair stuff himself and he's been a wealth of information but I think he might be getting sick of my questions. haha.

Here are a couple of tips. Always include pictures and update your location (city, state, country) in your profile.
