New member/homeowner introduction.

I'm new to the site and just moved into a house with my wife and son in the spring. My father was a home builder for years and I worked on his job sites throughout my childhood and helped him with his many projects on our home. So, I know how to use tools, now I just need to get tools.

Our house is in great shape but hasn't been updated since the 70's so lots of light blue, light green, light brown tiles/sinks/toilets in the bathrooms. There are some smaller projects I'd like to do prior to tackling the bathrooms but I'm excited!

I've done several smaller projects so far and my next one is fixing the paint on my trim/doors/windows. I made a post asking for advice in the Painting forum.

My wife and I came from an apartment that we owned and I did one minor renovation there of making a closet out of an alcove in our bedroom. I built the walls to enclose it, the door frame and installed molding and double folding doors. It was fun and very gratifying.

OK, sorry for the long intro. I look forward to reading, learning and asking questions on the board. Thanks!!!
