Hello, Everyone. I'm James. I've recently come into possession of a home I can finally work on without having to request permission from a landlord. I've been searching your forums today, partially for maintenance tips, but also for ideas about things I can do to make my house more modern. I look forward to becoming a contributing member of the community, and learning from everyone here.

Hey, thanks for the warm welcomes. The house is technically a mobile home, but it was given to me by an elderly friend of the family, so I can't help but afford to fix it up and live in it. Anyway, I appreciate the site, and all of the information I have found here so far. Expect some tech write-ups in the near future. Basically just Mr. Fix-it things, but I enjoy doing write-ups of things I am doing that others might want to try, so that they may learn something.

Oh man I can relate!! I was sooo happy to get my first house --just so I could do my OWN work (since I rarely trust anyone else)
