Hi,
I am a recent home owner and would like to introduce myself. I bought a house at 8/11/2012 and finding out how difficult and time consuming it is to be a home owner. I am looking for a message board where I could learn more about home ownership and other people’s experience. I hope I found a right place.
Initially the hardest thing for me was to select contractors. I needed a new asphalt driveway contractors keep providing me drastically different quotes ranging from $5000 to $15000. Once you start going in details itemizing labor and materials I identified that contractors are getting paid per hour as much as baseball players J and not hitting home runs.

Welcome and congratulations on your home purchase. It's a lot easier to hit a home run than it is to break your back doing manual labor. Just remember the old saying, you get what you pay for.
