This is new for me

My husband and I are not usually do it yourselfers. We are trying to learn how to do simple repairs and projects in our home ourselves. We will need lots of suggestions and hope we don't mess things up too bad.

If you know your limitations you can't do too much damage! Just ask any questions you have and we'll certainly be happy to help out.

Can anyone help? We sooted up the walls in our living room and dining room by using the gas fireplace and not realizing shoot wasn't open. We have very high ceilings. We tried using Krud Kutter, but it left circular stains on the wall. What should we do? We want to repaint the walls.
