new at home repair HVAC question

Hey out there, just moved into an old farmhouse with an old old old Coleman gas furnace under the floor vent, can't find the amp draw on it and replacing the stat. it says model 2004C and is 70,000 btu. Got a standard mechanical 2-wire 24 volt heat only stat, but need the amp draw to set the heat anticipator, anybody out there got any creative ideas???
thanks, struggling in the northwest where it's already gettin cold.
