New here!

Hello all! I'm excited to finally be here. Given the number of times I've Googled DIY-related questions and been sent to this forum for the answer, I figure it was time I joined.

I live in a tiny community (it's not really a town, it was never formally incorporated) in the middle of nowhere, Texas. It's two hours of travel to the nearest grocery store. As you would expect, pretty much everything here is a DIY job. Expect to see me posting a lot!

My husband and I enjoy doing DIY projects together. Some couples go out for a night on the town. We remodel. It's just what we do. I'm ashamed to admit that we can spend hours together just window shopping in home improvement stores. The two of us completely remodeled our first home by ourselves, and are working on our second. I'm better at masonry, tilework, drywall and precision work like painting and woodwork. He does the plumbing, electrical, and the heavy lifting.

I can't wait to get to know the forum! I'm off to ask my first question!

Welcome. Ask away.
Make sure to take the time to post pictures when possible. It hard to see what your talking about sometimes that far away.

Welcome BFE

No shame in that..Who wants to have fine dining and theatre when there are toilets and floors to be installed anyway

Get out the tools and throw on the BBQ. That makes for good bonding
