new guy

Hey all.

New member from NJ. Two years ago, finally decided to buy a (*ahem*renovated) house after doing the condo thing for 15 or so years. Previous owner lived here for 20 years, renovating it about 8 years ago.

Now I get to deal with all the BS piss poor work he did/paid to have done that is finally coming to light/failing.

I think the next time I buy a house, I will just pay a reputable builder to walk through the house instead of hiring a home inspector. He was $700 worth of useless. Had a builder/contractor thru the house and he found more in 10 mins than the inspector found in 4 hours. Lesson learned!

This site seems like a great resource and I'm glad I found it!
