New girl in town

Hello all, I just moved into my brand new home ... needless to say it is VERY bland. I like to think of it as a blank slate and it beats having to "un do" others decorating disasters. I stumbled on to this website as I have spent several hours online looking for new and fun ideas for my house. I decided jump on the bandwagon after reading all the great ideas. I have very little experience ... other than the fact that I am a HGTV junkie and I have owned my own home for 3 years now. My husband (of 2 mo) was a little concerned when I asked for a miter saw for my birthday. I love to try new things. In fact, today I am trying a wash on my walls. Wish me luck!
