I just recently found this forum and decided to join. Having been a homeowner for 20 years, I have run into just about every situation you can imagine, and I do a lot of my maintenance work myself. Even for projects I don't feel confident doing my myself, I have found it helps to have a general idea of what to expect. Plumbing is my weak area, although with lots of practice, I have gotten proficient at running new supply lines. I have worked with electrical quite a bit, and have seen some bizarre situations over the years and love to help resolve a problem. I have put down tile floors, and "floating" floors, and have done minor drywall work, and installed new doors and windows. I always find it helpful to consult with others about ideas on how to do something easier or better.
If any ads are present below my answer or words underlined/colored, I do not condone/support/use the product or services listed/linked to, they are there without my consent.
17,000 dryer fires a year, when did you last clean the inside of the dryer near motor or the exhaust ducting?
