New to the forum, not to DIY projects!

Hey all,

As I said, I am new to the forum, but not to DIY projects. I have owned 9 houses, 5 were new, but all required some level of maintenance. The largest was finishing a 1500 sq. ft. basement; including, framing, electric, plumbing, gypsum board, taping and texturing. I can do it all very well. If I have to say so myself.

My motto is, "If you can tell that I didn't hire it done, then I won't do it". In other words, if someone can say "you certainly did a good job on this project", instead of, "who did you hire to do this work". Then, I probably shouldn't have done it in the first place.

There are some things that I haven't done, however. This is my reason for coming to the forum. I will be asking for advice in other threads.

I hope that I will be able to offer some advice in return. I frequent several tech forums and help when I can.
