Hey everyone, I have been lurking here for a few weeks and decided to register and start posting! My name is Andy, and I am a home owner that owns the money pit! We bought our house 6 years ago, and about 3 years ago we started gutting it room by room. Before buying the house, I knew NOTHING about construction, but with some help from family I have learned ALOT! I have a strong interest in electrical work and am hoping to make the jump into a career in it, just not yet, I would like to learn more first. I volunteer with Habitat for Humanity to gain some more experience aside from working on my own house (expensive experience!). I like reading the NEC code, but is a bit hard for me to understand at times, so expect alot of questions. As of now, all the electrical work I have done in my home has passes inspections with flying colors!We plan to built our own house ourselves in a few years. My in laws have built 3 houses in the last 5 years and it was a great time. Well, I have rambled long enough...
