HI Everyone,

I am a first time woman DYIer with lots of projects in mind and very little experience. For my first project I'd like to build a parking pad in my yard. I live in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and would really appreciate any suggestion you might have. After doing some research, I have determined that I have no clue which material to use (concrete, gravel, pavers or asphalt) or how to deal with issues such as rain run off. I'd like to go as green as possible and be as kind to the enviroment (as well as my pocketbook) as possible.

Question about Post for swing???????

whistling2::whistling2:Hi Everyone
I am new to your site but not to home projects.I have learn alot from my Dad and Hubby.Past they are no longer with us so I do need help with a project ,Please.
My husband retired from the police dept.in 94 and had a massive stroke in 06.We had a ramp built so he could get into our home.The highest point was 5'.I took it down last fall but left two of the post that the ramp was attached. They are 4x4's and are 59''H x opening 71 1/2. We always wanted a swing but did not have the room on the little deck that was attached to the ramp. The ramp was apart of our life for the last 8 yrs. I would like keep them with a swing hanging,to remind me of him and all we went thru.And how much I miss him and our changed life.
I would like to keep the two post and hang a swing .Could you please tell me how I can hang it. I can not use a cross beam on top because of the Height.
