Hi. I am a 45 year old woman who has owned her own home for the last 3 years, due to an amicable divorce. My ex is a carpenter but I have no real home improvement knowledge. My ex just remarried & his new wife will not allow us to communicate; everything has to be relayed by our 14 year old daughter. So I think this forum will be helpful to me, since I have no one to turn to for advice with home related issues.

Welcome aboard Mudlady ! Congrats! You've come to the right place.
You don't need the thorn in your side and the new wife (she's just jealous) All the advice you and your daughter could possibly ever want is all right here at your fingertips. Plus you get to be independent and do it all for yourself. No better feeling. For any demo you need ..imagine the harlot and sledge away!! Very theraputic

Thank you. I've been looking around & there seems to be a lot of helpful information available. I know my first project this spring/summer will be to figure out how to eliminate the creek that comes in one side of my basement and runs out the drain on the other side.

About your basement..when you are ready to start. Ask your questions and think about snapping a few pictures to keep Joe happy. He will ask anyway so you may as well come prepared

I've got video of the water, but will have to take pics the next time it floods.
