Hey everyone! I just found this forum via Google and am excited to learn more of what I can do in my home improvement endeavors.

We've been in our home for 4 years and there's always SOMETHING that needs fixed or replaced. We've painted every room except for a hallway and a bathroom. Stripped paint from some of the wood like the mantel and banisters and stained all of them (so much more of that to do!). And instead of taking on the cost of replacing all the kitchen cabinets, I painted them (inside and out), gave them new hinges and hardware and love them.

In trying to fix a few things up, I've learned what I am and am not good at. Making my own lazy susan to replace the outdated and broken one in the kitchen cabinet. . . not a good idea so I'm looking to just buying one this year and installing it.

However, I've patched up a hole in a wall from the previous owner with the help of my husband. I replaced electrical outlets by myself (that was nerve wrecking, but I succeeded! Yay me!). I've replaced the garbage disposal with a little help from my boys (a couple of things required more than the 2 hands the Good Lord blessed me with).

There's lots of projects on the house fixing list so look for plenty of posts from me for your input! I look forward to being a part of the community!
