N00b to the boards

Hello all,

Emily here from central PA. Purchased a 1912 home a year ago, and am slowly getting my feet wet in the wonderful world of DIY. These fora have already helped me out wonderfully with picking the right primer and paint, so I know I'll be back with other questions.

After getting a few stubborn roof leaks fixed, my current projects involve gradually moving from one room to another and stripping the migraine-inducing floral wallpaper off the plaster walls, patching up the cracks, and painting. The long term project I'm currently daydreaming about involves giving the bathroom a facelift, new floor, tile job, new fixtures. But that's for a couple years out.

Looking forward to talking to and learning from all of you in the community!
