My New Old House.....

We just bought a neglected thing of a home, thankfully the real value is more in the land we got with the deal.
The house used to be a trailer, which was added onto without the house being leveled. So that's a problem in itself. Most of the rest is pretty minor, I hope.
Our plan is to start with getting the floors level. While the floors are out we are going to run new plumbing, where its needed. Then onto the walls. We are going to pull them all down, tear put the insulation and rewire the electrical. Then put in new.
I am certain I will be seen on here a lot. I hope to be able to offer some advice in return. Thanks in advance for any ideas, tips, clues and advice offered.

I'm finishing up the same type of project... it's taken me years...
I DO have almost all of my cherished "green stickers", but it's been a long hard road.... even with the help of all the great guys here. Of course, YOU are most likely not doing everything by yourself too, as I have done.
*Good luck* and let us know if/when you get stuck!

Yeah. My house only needs five things done to it:
- new paint outside
- new paint inside
- new electrical
- new plumbing
- new roof

:P

The million and ten things that have broken or need fixing along the way is just the minor stuff

Well. I call it minor because its not the floor. LOL. I've got to pull out the walls, insulation, do rewiring and replumbing, and the rebuild it all. But I have some contacts for folks who will work for me on some things.
I'm looking forward to it all. I know it will be hard work, but I'm assuming the reward will be way sweeter than the hitter that gets me there.
