Mulling Andersen circle top
Good Day,
I am currently working on replacing all the windows in my house with Andersen 400 series windows. I am taking the existing windows out completely to the studs. I have the first floor complete, with the exception of a french wood hinged door which is on order. I have a quote to purchase the windows on the second floor but I have a question or two, or maybe three. I have two units that will have architectural series window circle tops. I think the window units will be too heavy and awkward to have the windows factory mulled. This is based on my experience installing the TW2452-3s in the first floor. It took a few burley helpers to accomplish the actual lifting of window units into position. Is it easy to mull andersen circle top windows after I have "loosely" installed the double hung windows below? Would it be better to be distributor mulled and figure out how to get that much wieght in one piece up to the second floor? I think if it is a good idea, I would mull windows in the the room on second floor prior to install. I will hold off ordering the circle tops units until I have a high degree of confidence which route to take. If I should have posted this in another section please let me know. This is my informal introduction. Thanks for the assistance.
