Much to learn.
Hi, I just joined diychatroom.
My wife and I bought our first home a few weeks ago. It's a fairly standard single story two bedroom house in Oakland, California, built in 1941 with "button board" on the walls.
We have painted the living room, the dining room, and the main bedroom so far, and I have installed a 40 gal gas water heater, including new vent pipe through the roof, and I am currently (slowly) installing a Delta shower above the bathtub, replacing the button board with GP Densguard.
I've always been a renter til now, so I have never had the chance to do any of this stuff before, and I'm learning everything from scratch.
