That's what my daughter's called me when they were in their teens. DH wouldn't know a hammer if it hit him on the head, but he's a great cook! So, I have had to learn how to do the home maintenance.
I'm staring 60 year old in the face and still work full-time, so more often, I find the compromise is to hire out some of the work and do some myself, even though I'd prefer to do it myself.
Right now, I have a couple of home improvement needs and both are beyond my current expertise, so I'm coming to the forum for advice.
