Love this site

Greetings all. Found your site through the search engines and what a relief it was. I just purchased a small farm with main house, detached one car garage, 2 3 sided barns and 8 acres of land. Moved here to Johnston City, IL from Cocoa Beach, FL as my ex-girlfriends 16 year old son asked me too for his final two years of school.

The house was built in 1921 and had an addition in 1961. The wiring is a tangled web and plumbing is a bit different than I am used to. I am a fairly competent remodeler having worked at it for a living off and on for the past 30 years. Everything now takes 3 and 4 times as long due to being aa 100% disabled vet. I've been reading the electrical forum as I believe that is the single most important item that needs correcting. I need to do as much myself due to spending every dime I had and then some buying this place.

Thanks in advance to all and I look forward to being able to ask question. It sure helps knowing I'm not the only person who gets stumped.

Cheers!
Buddy

I'm sorry but we do not have a psychological assistance forum here. You had to be crazy to come up here, especially considering this has probably been one of the worst winters in many years.

Welcome aboard and feel free to ask away. Pictures often help describe a situation so if you have the facilities to upload pics, it often helps more than trying to describe something. You know, that old; a pic is worth a thousand words, thing.

Funny guy! Fortunately (or not) I was assigned to places much colder during the 70's and 80's. I actually only came up here because the kid asked and the fact his mother and I have a relationship, strange, but a relationship none-the-less.

One thing I learned years ago was you can avoid a lot of nastiness when you just ask when you don't no the answer. Thanks again to all that welcomed me and those that haven't, it is truly appreciated. Now...back to work!!!
