Knee deep in snow in Alberta, Canada

Hey everyone
My name is Rick and I live in a very small town near Red Deer, Alberta. I am retired and bored so decided to build another retirement home starting when spring finally arrives.
I am not a novice, I have built several homes.commercial buildings and done countless renovations. I intend to do everything myself with only minimal hired labor and practically no subs. I have done this before so am confident but out of practice.
I publish a blog about all aspects of home building and about my past and present experiences. Some are comical. A good part of the purpose is to refresh my knowledge and to catch up on new developments but also to help others.
Forums of this type are valuable to me as there is a lot I can still learn and hopefully pass on. If you should check out my blog please comment and do not be afraid to point out mistakes or laugh at me. There is no fool like an old fool.
It can be found at this link http://boardsandbricks.com
