Just retired.....now what do I do?

Just retired........now what do I do?

Originally from the UK and an apprentice carpenter and joiner. On graduation in 1970, I teamed up with my brother and ran a small building and construction company for 5 years. After both going our separate ways I worked for a cabinet company installing wardrobes. As this company grew I was chosen to come to the USA and start a sister company, but failure was on the horizon due to cultural differences and weak product acceptance.
I decided to remain in the USA and started a commercial cabinet company in 1986 with a business partner. We were very successful up until the economy took a dive. Our success was built on large projects like hospitals and hotels and with their decline we decided to move on..........we both retired after 26 years.

So..........what to do next?....I live in Jacksonville Beach Florida, I'm 62 and need to share this knowledge I've stored up over the last 45 years. I am far from having all the answers, but you can bet I have come across a situation you may have at some time or other.
My professional strengths are ;
Carpentry, joinery, cabinetmaking, plastic laminating, finishing, installation, cabinetry design and construction
My interests and hobbies are,
Home remodeling, automobile and motorcycle restoration,
motorbike riding, camping, children...........and a huge faith in God.

I look forward to sharing and learning with you all and can "Give and Take" the teasing when due.

Hey Woody, glad to have you with us. Now that you have retired you will soon find out there will not be enough time in a day to get all done that you need to, especially if you take more than one Social Security nap a day.

Welcome Woody, my great-uncle was a 'chippie' in the UK.
If you have time on your hands then volunteer to teach people the trades.
It seems like the old apprenticeship system is falling by the wayside and folks aren't learning the skills any more.
Good luck and have fun.
