Aged English DIYer* living in deepest Texas. 15 minutes further, and I'd be in Mexico.

I wish I'd been able to find this forum some years ago. Having worked on houses on both sides of the Atlantic, I do come across differences that make life difficult. Paint is one example.

Not only are paints a little different, I'm also finally swinging away from using oil-based products, so with the two issues, I sometimes feel like I'm on Mars.

I'll look forward to popping in from time to time.
