JMATT01 in Cedar Rapids

Hello all, I came across this site by accident looking for info on my Heil furnace. Found there is a lot of good discussions and information offered here.
A little about me, I work for a insurance company for 25 years, I golf, some tennis and used to play Rugby. I know a have replaced my hot water heater, my dad and I replaced my furnace, most or the air conditioning except the connecting of the freon. I try to do most of the maintenance myself. I also do some wood working but consider myself a novice/hobby. I also own a rental house that I manage. It was in the flooded area of Cedar Rapids got the basement and about 4 feet on the first floor. Its been gutted down to the studs, everything removed, plaster/lath removed. Of course the city now says that once its stripped, the whole house has to be brought up to code. If I would have left it at half torn out I'd be ok not to bring it upto code. Oh well I wanted to see what It looked like.
As you can see this site can be useful to me, and hopefully I won't use ti to vent about city inspectors
