I'm following the crowd!

Like many of the new posters here, I have come over from another site. With 40+ years construction experience I don't want to see this knowledge not used to help people. I have posted here a couple of times already to help individuals. I want to continue to help all I can. So of the newbies that i have followed over with attest to the fact I am no dummy when I comes to DIY. Once i get the hang of it I will post pix of some of my projects. I am so happy to be here!

Reads like the conversation we had earlier this month...all that knowledge between our ears does no one any good just sitting there.

I too decided today to get in this site, will probably keep up over there as well, I did pay for a lifetime many years ago there.

We will see how this site measures up, but I have already discovered 2 things that are the same or worse than there. 1) the clock is set to some European time zone just like theirs, and 2)I have to log in every time here, there not at all, or nearly never unless they have another SNAFU.

Welcome de-nagorg! The time setting is in your control panel and there is someplace here to check for auto log in but it's been a while so I don't remember its location.....

The Clock...Click on “user cp” just above the Post Reply button on this page. Go to edit options and down toward the bottom you can change the time zone to your location.

Log in...Just click the “remember me” next to the log in box and you should be good to go.

One more thing....You don't have to pay to play here!

Thank you for the help on the clock change, that other place kept saying that their clock was not controlled by themselves, nor us the members.

What kind of HOOEY is that?

I'm a member of several different forums(but not the one you are talking about). All of them have the ability for us the members to change the time to our time zone.

That last site, which I also used to favor, is: http://www.handymanclub.com/connect/forums.aspx

The differences between that one and this? Ginormous.
