Howdy from Mtn Ranch, CA

Hi all. What a great resource this website is to those of us with dreams of performing DIY projects - thanks!

I'm planning to build an underground house using Formworks Building technology (it's basically like a swimming pool but turned upside-down), and plan to do most of the work, myself. I'm 56 years old, but in pretty durn good shape, and am confident I am up for this. I have some construction experience, including foundation, concrete slab, concrete block wall, stucco, rough and finish carpentry, drywall, roofing, plumbing, but have done very little electrical, HVAC, or surveying. I'm not too worried about electrical or HVAC, but the most I've done in surveying for a building foundation was holding the stick being shot. So, here I am! I'm certain I'll have a gazillion questions about every aspect of the process, though, and what better way to learn than to tap the collective minds of this group?

Thanks again for being here!
