During the work week I am a Mathematical Statistician. On the weekends however, I am power-tool loving DIY newbie. I love to learn new things and really enjoy designing and building projects. Something about taking a project from a mental concept through to the physical finished object that is very satisfying. I like to include my boys (6 and 7) in my projects, even though it may take twice as long to complete. I do stress safety constantly. They both have their own eye and hearing protection (that they sometimes use to simulate starfighter pilot gear). Anyway, I'll be asking a lot of questions so I hope you all won't tire of me. I live in Southern California so I am DIYing year-round.
