Hi y'all

Gerry - this site stands "heads and shoulders" above our last DIY favorite!
More questions, faster replies and a broader depth.

By the by - the DL is on my case again because I won't 'make nice' with her sister.

I didn't see anything on it in our reported post forum.

However, I have banned the second name.

Hi y'all

Gmaint: I took the chance to see more of what this site is about. I will lurk in the shadows a while, just to see what's up.

I sent a message via one of the built in contact us forms.
I'm sorry you think I would do such a thing in the name of spamming.
A little bit hurt, but that's OK, I've been hurt before.

Ya' think a better word could have been found instead of "banned"? LOL

Cordially,
Gerry

LOL, I could have used a different word. But the function I used was ban. I could have used, destroyed, disintegrated, analiated, trashed, discombobulated, demensionally destabilized, erased, etc LOL

Its always best to use the report function. Since all Mods and admins then recieve an email about it. An Admin may not be available for a day or 2 at times.

Fully understand and fully understand your response to the second log-in.

But think about it, would I have mentioned it in an open forum if my intentions were evil? LOL

Right....

But Ok, it's done and finished. Thanks!

In the email or contact us form, I asked if this account used an email address at one of my domains, I gave the two possible domain names I would have used, if so I forgot what email address it was and if it was possible to change the email address to this one at Gmail.
All because I forgot the email, and password and could not get it sent to a email address I may have deleted.

But digging deep, I tried a few of the passwords I may have used and found it. Then I promptly changed the email address for this account to the one at Gmail and "personally" "abandoned" the other one to the whims of admin in the hopes that contacting me at this email address would straighten things out with that communication.

But all is well now I hope! LOL,
( just waiting for Murphy's law to catch up! )

Cordially,
Gerry

I understand.

Perhaps you should read the FAQ. Always a good place to start on any new forum.

Yeah, it was hard to go for more then 2 hours without several spammers posting for the last 4 to 5 months. Some would make a post, and then come back an edit the spam link in later.

We welcome all new members.

Hi y'all

My GOD! You guys have your work cut out for you!

I thought there was a thing in place for a new user to have his posts checked by someone for the first ten posts. Must have been a different forum. Sure looked like this format though.

Seriously now, Like "DL's Husband" said: "Gerry - this site stands "heads and shoulders" above our last DIY favorite! More questions, faster replies and a broader depth."

I wholeheartedly agree!

The few people that came over here with me, well, we will not upset the boat, we may rock it, (not intentionally), but mostly we're here to help row!

We're "good folk" and like helping people, we have various tons of experience and know when to bow to someone else's experience.

Well back to work for me, using Photoshop 4 on a virtual XP machine under windows 7 to try and get something together on that arrow thing for something in the electric forum.

Cordially,
Gerry

Hi y'all

We don't moderate post like that. That way people get replies quicker, and of course new members answering someone get to see their answers thanked, or used. Instead of seeing their post after several other higher post count members answer.

Enjoy the site.
