Hi and Thanks In Advance

My name is Tammy in St. Rose, Louisiana. First, thanks to all my fellow members and moderators for the help. I started working with wood finishes when I hated my ugly yellow particle board cabinets but could not afford new ones. I sanded down the maple fronts to the bare wood and refinished them, along with new hardware. the laminate sides, I primed and learned faux wood finishing techniques. Came out great, so I'm going to save money from now on by finishing all my own furniture and with the help of my husband, building some.

Hi Tammy,

I'd love to see some before-during-after photos! I hate my cabinets too and am interested in what others have done for a cheap/simple facelift. How did you learn faux wood finishing?

By the way, I grew up in Lafayette LA.
