Hello, I am a retired construction engineer. I worked military construction both here and abroad. Hospitals, border patrol stations, airfields, housing, historical restorations and most any facility the military would use.
For DIY projects I am mainly interested in architectural trim treatments. I became interested in trim while doing historical restorations. I was and still am amazed at just how much impact trim treatments have on a space. I don't think anything short of changing ceiling height beats the impact redoing trim has on the character of a room.
