Hi, my name is Mike and I'm a... DIYer!

I was informed when I signed up that I'm supposed to introduce myself so... My name is Mike, I'm 28 years old, I have a family of four and I'm currently remodeling our 3-bedroom house. So far I have completed the living room, daughter's bedroom and son's bedroom.

I am currently working on the kitchen in which I completely rebuilt the floor, replaced two load-bearing walls, and added a wall to create a hallway seperating the kitchen from the entrance to the bathroom. Right now drywall is hung and ready to be finished then it's time for floor tile, cabinets, countertops, and new appliances - all of which I have never installed before.

I have 10 years experience in residential construction, I joined this forum for help with the details of finish carpentry as most of my experience is in framing. Hopefully I can help others avoid some of the trials and errors I've experienced so far.
