Default Hi everyone,

My name is Margie; I live in MI where my husband, Rick, and I do a lot of do it yourself projects.
Right now we are dealing with trying to stain spots and refinish with clear coat a 3 year old fiberglass wood-grained exterior door that has some flaking of the clear coat (which has also lifted the stain underneath it) and caused varied and lightened spotting affect on the lower 1/4 of the door where weather and southern sun exposure hits it. We do not want to strip and re-stain the whole door, but would like to spot stain to match the rest of the door and put a couple new top clear coats over the whole thing once the staining has been done. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, I would appreciate your input.
Margie
