Hi Everyone! I must admit after reading many posts I do find the "asking a question" thing a bit intimidating. It's not that I've never done DIY work on my home, just not like "construction" "plumbing...maybe a little".....but, for example, I was just reading a post about how to build a countertop above your washer and dryer. Some of what was suggested made sense, but a lot of it did not (attaching the wood together w/brackets, securing wood to floor w/something referred to as an L bracket? How to know how to balance the weight...etc??. Wish I had an experienced builder/plumber/electrician looking over my shoulder to go shopping, know what will work best/what will not. Have a feeling I have a lot of "trial & error" ahead of me....which is alright too, I guess.
But, I'm not giving up. So here I am, and hopefully I'll learn how to do some new projects around the house myself.
