Hi DIYers,

I am renovating an 88-year-old cottage that my wife and I bought in September. We have spent almost every weekend there working. It was. FIXER UPPER. It had been abandoned for about 30 years. It had no electricity, well, hot water heater, furnace that may work, and a hole through the kitchen ceiling such that we saw the blue sky from the kitchen.

TONS OF WORK. Very rewarding to make any progress. So far we have sided half of it, put in 6 new vinyl windows, a roof, well and torn out most of the drywall. Much of this was done during our very cold Wisconsin winters.

Is there a light at the end of this tunnel? We keep plugging along. summer is only a few short weeks away.
