Hey y'all!

Well of course I'm new and glad I found this app! I bought last December a 1940's fixer upper from a foreclosure. Lots of challenges since I'm doing most of it myself on a tiny budget. I'm blessed with knowledge though from my dad making me do home fix it stuff and helping build a house though. Most people are surprised that a single female is doing this stuff and the guys at Lowes loves my ideas for some things. I look forward to getting advice and sharing with everyone.

Hey y'all!

Let the fun begin. Don't count on them fellers at Lowes to give you sound advice all the time. Some of them have been found to not know what they are talking about. My father in law had three girls so the youngest ended up being his "boy". She loves sports and can work magic on the grill but sadly she never passed "holding the flash light" when it came to handy matters.

Hey y'all!

Oh I know what department to ask advice in and what not too! Plumbing and the ac guys in seasonal are full of it and tend to belittle me. I have enough base knowledge from building our home as a teenager that I can avoid them. My dad hates useless females so he taught me a lot. I've even helped put in a roof.

Hey y'all!

I could have used you around here! Just got done building a new lid for our house. My wife will not go past the first rung on a ladder so she missed all the fun.
