Hey Whats Up

Just stoppin' in here to say hey, introduce myself and give you all a little as to why I am here in the first place.

I found this forum searching for ways to edge hardwood floors without actually touching a baseboard that is not going to have shoe strip laid.

I have only been refinishing floors for about 4 months and I am one of those people that hate it if I don't know how to do something and so here I am trying to find the answer.

I am on mahogany just installed and I am going over it with 80 grit now. We cannot leave grooves in the baseboard and I tried 3 diff ways (normal cross-graining, using the right side of edger as a guide, and leaving just enough to scrape when the room is finished) which the last one obviously takes forever.

I asked the crew leader and I haven't heard anything new so I am takin' my ?s to the net to see if something fresh comes out.

Hope to talk to everyone I can.

Cheers,

Michael
