Hello from Toronto, Canada

Hi All.

This is a really good resource I have found and I'm now going to try to go through each and every forum section to find what might be relavant to my home improvement ambitions.

I've had most experience with Electric, although I'm not a pro by any means, but I would rather do things myself than pay an arm and leg.

Feel free to contact me if you'd like to discuss any projects...I can learn a lot from this site! :)

Thanks
McVane.

Hi There...nice to see a fellow Torontonian too...

Hello there.

Yes, it's good to be able to compare notes about Canadian codes and the experiences that you had due to the pretty cold winter we had!

Feel free to drop me a line any time.

McVane.

P.S. Whereabouts are you in Toronto? I'm in the east end.

yummy mummy 03-23-2007 12:15 PM

I am in North Toronto.

DIY hobbies

That's good...what kinds of DIY projects have you worked on before?

I've gone to the extent of Electrical mostly and painting and wallpapering...I'm ambitious to try to put in some laminate flooring in a bedroom soon!

I have not done much in terms of renovation.

I am presently renovating my basement.
(I am still in the framing stage and insulating.)
I have also done basic electric. Like adding more electrical outlets.
I managed to do that.

Hi there,

I will do my laminate flooring in the basement hopefully sometime next week... I also from Toronto... may be we meet each other in HD and we didn't know...

Hi there.

I'm in the east end, so maybe we bumped into the Home Depot at Morningside/Sheppard before? That place has been my location to shop for home improvment products.

In fact, I bought some laminate flooring last week and am planning on installing it in a bedroom. I'm working on a plan to get it done right.

Hope to talk to you soon!

I am at the north-east end which use the HD in 14/Markham Rd... I also bought whole bunch of laminate from HD few months ago when I saw them clearance.... eager to try the stuff....

My HD is the one near Yorkdale., Dufferin and Wilson.
That is the closest to me.
