Hello from South GA

I'm new here and wanted to say hi. I inherited an old house from my mother when she moved to a duplex to take care of my grandmother, and now I get to fix it all up. The house was built in 1906, and it needs a LOT of work. When my mother bought the house about 15 years ago, we did a bunch. However, we didn't know what we were doing, so now I really have my work cut out for me.

My wife, young son, and I live in the house now, so we'll be doing all the work around our living here. It sucks, but it'll be worth the effort once it's all done.

I was looking for a place to pick up some ideas on how to do things, and came across this forum. I've always had good luck learning stuff from forums, so it was a natural fit. I look forward to learning and maybe sharing some of my experiences as they accumulate

Tom

Hello from South GA

Thanks for the welcome folks! These old houses definately are unique, but the way I look at it is this: If I can fix up one of these, any newer home should be a breaze!!
